My Obsession Comes with a Reason

I haven't been very active writing the articles I enjoy writing about the most, “things that affect most of us in life and what we can do to change it.” During the last week, I'm been doing two things. 1.] Brainstorming future business ideas. 2.] Adding a strong focus on the photo side of the website.

Since I can't discuss my business ideas, because I'm afraid someone may steal them, I'm limited to discussing the photo side of Gr8tFate.

Gr8tFate's Female Celebrity HQ Photos

Originally we created this site to draw more traffic to Gr8tfate, allowing the opportunity for new readers to read Gr8tFate's articles too. I also wanted to create a more stable and innovative way of providing photos. The most popular websites today [that actually offer high resolution photos] for celebrity photos are still in a “forum” style website. Some are now using a “blog” style website to offer their content, but both are not well indexed as a simple database.

We wanted to try something new. Offering our photos in an organized fashion that no forum could provide. On top of that, we wanted to categorize the photos, making it easier to find the photos that viewers are looking for. We may not carry every celebrity on our website, but the ones we do are easy to find, no registration is needed and they're all in High Quality [HQ]. We created this outlet of photos after we were kicked from Flickr.com, having two photos that were copyrighted, but also free to the public too, go figure. Although we obtained 1,000,000+ views within a few months on Flickr, we wanted to offer more in an organized fashion. Thankfully, our viewer base is growing rapidly and no advertising has been needed.

Gr8tFate's Photo Social

Another accident purely designed by fate, we thought it would be fun to create an extension to our “Female Celebrity HQ Photos”, offering anyone to join our community and have the opportunity to upload their own favorite pictures of celebrities,models or musicians. In this realm, we wanted to keep it open, allowing both male and female photos. Our social website is brand new, with only a single member, but it's getting noticed and visited.

It's so new that we haven't created any rules yet and our vision for the community behind photos. Using Ning's software has made the creation of the website very easy and offers the unlimited ability to members to upload as many photos as they want.

Final Thoughts

With the popularity of celebrities and the attraction of their photographs, we will continue developing and enlarging our collection for viewers. Our goal is to eventually become the premiere portal on the internet for celebrity photos, which will also benefit us by drawing more traffic to the rest of our website.
